How do I know if therapy is right for me? Therapy can be beneficial for anyone experiencing difficulties with emotions, behaviors, life transitions, or relationships. If challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship issues are affecting daily life, therapy can provide support and tools for managing these issues.
What can I expect in my first therapy session? The first session typically involves discussing the reasons for seeking therapy, setting goals, and exploring current concerns. It provides an opportunity to establish a rapport with the therapist and understand the therapy process.
How long does each therapy session last? Each therapy session usually lasts 50 minutes. This duration allows for in-depth discussion and effective progress within each session.
How many sessions will I need? The number of sessions needed varies depending on individual goals and the nature of the issues being addressed. Some may benefit from a few sessions, while others might require longer-term therapy. A plan will be developed collaboratively based on progress and needs.
What are the benefits of therapy? Therapy offers numerous benefits, including improved emotional well-being, better stress management, enhanced coping skills, and healthier relationships. It provides a safe space to explore feelings, develop insights, and work towards personal growth.
Are the sessions confidential? All therapy sessions are strictly confidential. Information shared during sessions is protected by privacy laws and ethical guidelines. Confidentiality ensures that personal details and discussions remain private, fostering a safe and secure environment for therapy. The only exceptions to confidentiality occur in situations where there is a legal obligation to disclose information, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. Any such exceptions will be discussed with you in detail during the initial sessions.
How much does a session cost, and what are your payment options? Each 50-minute session costs $210. Payment can be made securely via credit or debit card, as well as through a Health Savings Account (HSA).
Do you accept insurance? Some insurance plans are accepted. Clients are encouraged to reach out to confirm if their specific plan is accepted. Clients are responsible for any deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, and other costs not covered by their insurance.
What if I can’t afford to pay for my sessions and my insurance is not accepted? A sliding scale is available for those who may have difficulty affording the full session fee, subject to availability. Please inquire to see if this option is currently available to you.
What is your cancellation policy? Sessions must be canceled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. Missed appointments or sessions canceled within 24 hours may be charged the full fee of $210. For clients using insurance, this fee is billed directly to the client, not to the insurance provider. Cancellation fees must be paid before the next scheduled appointment.
How can I schedule an appointment? Appointments can be scheduled by contacting the practice through the contact form. -
